One of the joys of owning your own business is the opportunity to step back when you need to. I take heart knowing I have full control of my occupation when I have a new baby, make a big move, endure health challenges, or suffer a loss. There aren't many jobs that offer that kind of flexibility!
My photography business took a pause for the winter season, and it was exactly what I needed to renew my creative energies. It was healing to embrace a season of change without the stress of deadlines and late night editing. In stepping back I feel a renewed sense of motivation and excitement about my business.
My first shoot since starting up again with was an engagement session with Samantha and Otavio. We drove out to Ashton, Idaho near Mesa Falls. The scenery was perfect and the love between these two was so special to witness. While it's hard to choose a favorite, engagement shoots are some of the best. I'm thrilled to be back and hope you enjoy some images from this most recent session.
